Sorry, Brendi, I don’t have a pattern. I tried to write it down as I was crocheting but gave up around the chest area!! As for the skirt pattern, I have it in my files somewhere, though I had to improvise and add another layer of pineapples because I needed the dress to be longer. I can look for it, if you wish and if that can be of any help. Which doll do you need to dress up?

Jenni, Thank you so much! I must say I still can’t teach my own 8.5yo daughter to crochet or knit! She just gives up after a minute or so. It is not easy to start to crochet (or knit). It’s so natural for me already that I find it hard to explain how to do it! I learned to do both around the same age as you, all thanks to my mum. But I guess it must be difficult if you are left-handed. Maybe, you could try to learn with a book? I bought a few for my daughter and they explain things clearly. As for Leda, she is coming with me to the UK when we go on holiday next month. She is the lucky one! And I am making lots of clothes especially for her at the moment.

Oh, how I wish I could crochet well. As I’m left-handed, both my grandmothers refused to teach me. I managed to teach myself to knit when I was 6, but the crochet hooks flashed so quickly that I couldn’t learn by watching. I’d love to be able to make something as beautiful as this.
