And so, here is another story. This is Inara Sera/Sihnon from Firefly/Serenity line, Tonner Convention in Lombard Exclusive, “The Sun, The Moon and The Stars”, 2010, LE 200.
She is another doll that I have secretly admired for over 2 years, but she is rare so I kept postponing getting her. But the right time has come. After I decided on having Prince Dastan, I thought he needed his second half. I looked at my “single” Tonner dolls – Carrie on the Presidio and Alice Kingsleigh – but neither of them suited him. And then I remembered HER!
I found her by pure chance. The seller wouldn’t send her internationally, so my very good friend helped me to get her. When Inara arrived I was over the moon – she is stunningly beautiful! Her eyes are amazing and they even have applied eyelashes. She is very special and will be perfect in elegant and historical dresses.
Inara arrived to me nude which is perfect because I don’t care for original Tonner outfits and prefer buying dolls nude. While she was on her way to me, I started making her a dress, which I finished when she was already here.
The dress is based on my own pattern and is made from red taffeta fabric with full red polyester lining. The scarf is made from white silk dupioni. And I also made her a simple necklace from red beads.
The dress closes at the back with a zip.
And the inside of the dress, displaying my label.
