In reply to Rosie. Hi Rosie, hmm... AGAT dolls are not BJDs and are not presented as such. The problem is not in the strings but in the general shape and construction of the knee joints. I believe the choice was either to have a doll that can stand confidently or a doll that can sit but may wobble while standing. The company is aware of this issue and are thinking on how to improve the joints. I don't think it's possible to re-string them. (I am not an expert in re-stringing, I wouldn't even think of trying. All by BJDs were re-strung by my friend!) Personally, I am not bothered because I can pose them how I want. And I don't expect them to be as flexible as BJDs.

I have Lydia, and her lack of poseability is bothering me. Why put knee joints in a doll if they will never bend? According to the BJD tutorials out there, this means the strings are too tight. I poked around with a flashlight and figured out where the strings are going, but don’t know how I’d actually go about restringing her. Any advice?

In reply to Maxine. Thank you so much, Maxine! I am so glad to see you here!! Yes, Lydia's hair is undeniably black with a few lighter highlights. It is stunning in person (the hair I mean). I am getting her ready for our trip to Hong Kong this week and she looks stunning in any colour (and in modern clothes!). A very versatile doll!

Stunning photography – all the colours are wonderful. I can see the differences between Matilda and Lydia very clearly here, from the blue-grey of Matilda’s eyes to the strong blue of Lydia’s. I hadn’t realised before that this was the introduction of a fourth hair colour – it looks black. Matilda’s outfit that you made is very beautiful and suits her so well.
