On our last day in England we went to Lewes (near Brighton) to visit a medieval castle. Marie-Grace came with us, of course. And she even had a ride on the 19th century Russian Canon!
Here are some photos of Marie-Grace in the UK. She spent a few days in West Sussex, where she climbed one of the oldest trees in England, saw a viaduct, walked in the fields and went on a steam railway where she got really excited by the sign that that’s where the Greenwich meridian passed!
At the end on the 11th century England was ruled by William II, nicknamed Rufus (because of his red hair). He was the son of William the Conqueror, who conquered England in 1066.
