I was not very keen on getting this doll. Firstly, because I didn’t really need any more Kidz’n’Cats dolls, so I, luckily, missed a pre-order. Then two of my friends received truly faulty dolls, and I wasn’t convinced I wanted her after all. Those two dolls had damaged legs and (brown) eyes too small for the eye opening. But I also saw photos of some lucky owners whose dolls looked pretty (the blue and grey-green eyed ones).
However, my decision was made when I realised that all Kidz’n’Cats dolls are going to have a slightly bigger body from this year – that is, Henriette’s body. Since I sew clothes for these girls for sale, I needed to have this other body. The dolls from the new 2014 collection didn’t impress me at all (except for Jodie, maybe, but she had bangs and I don’t really like large bangs in dolls) as I wasn’t impressed by a new limited edition Wunschpuppe doll Anetta (bangs again!). So, I decided to buy a doll based on real photos to avoid problems with the eyes. And I started looking on ebay for Henriette which would look right for me (mainly, I wanted straight eyes). I wanted a dark-haired blue-eyed girl initially, but when I saw this golden-haired grey-green-eyed beauty, I fell in love.
And so, here is my Henriette, a Wunschpuppe 2013 Limited Edition Kidz’n’Cats doll. She is 38/300. In this limited edition people could choose a combination of eye-colour (blue, brown or grey-green) and hair-colour (blond, golden-brown or brown). My Henriette’s right leg still has a problem (it is bend inwards), but I’ll try to fix it some time soon. And her lips are too pink to my taste (the recent trend in Kidz dolls – I much prefer the good old 2009-2011 dolls with natural lips). But she has gorgeously thick silky hair. And she is very pretty.
And I really love this girl!!
