Another doll that has just returned to me from Cristy Stone with a new face-up – Iplehouse SID Felix. He is the only one of the four who had a face-up before – by Iplehouse, which was very disappointing and the doll didn’t click with me at all.
Now he is gorgeous. He probably needs a shorter wig, but I am yet to find a good one for him. I didn’t try to get any resemblance to anyone in particular. I just wanted a handsome looking young man. I have given him 10 mm grey glass eyes instead of 12 mm. He has a slight modification – the tip of his nose was removed at my request (it was too pointy to my taste).
For now, he is Frederick Hale, brother to Margaret Hale and a fiance of Dolores Barbour. This won’t be his only incarnation. Just like with Dolores, I expect him to be a historical character from different periods – from medieval to Victorian. I think, for example, he would make a perfect musketeer (1630s) or gardemarin (Russian naval student from the 1740-50s).
