I don’t know, truly, why I had so many doubts about getting this doll. I saw her in person when she was sold freely in 2011, I could easily get her back then (after all, my doll shop started then and so I saw many of them). Her hair is exquisitely long, her face is very special, but I argued with myself that she had exactly the same skin / eyes / hair colour as my Amalia, so… I didn’t get her. And regretted about this decision. I kept returning to look at her on ebay, but she was always expensive (of course!).
When I couldn’t resist it anymore, I managed to find her, totally new, just returned from a Doll hospital. And the price was reasonable. So I got her. And have never regretted it! I am totally in love with her!!! She is Kanani, a Girl of the Year 2011.
This dress was made using a pattern from Suzy M Studio (though I changed the way it is sewn at the back). It is made from two matching cotton fabrics. The bodice has a red cotton lining. The dress closes at the back with buttons and there are ties on the shoulders.
