Sebastian in Singapore

I was sorting out my old photographs when I came across with these photos which apparently I have forgotten to show! They were taken more than 3 years ago, in January 2012! This is Singapore, the country I have been calling home for the last 13 years (but not for much longer). We had a walk around the Boat Quay, one of the most beautiful places in Singapore. It was late afternoon and also rather overcast so the photos may appear a bit dark, but they give the impression. The model is my daughter’s Build-a-Bear Sebastian the Rabbit!

This is a sculpture by Botero called Bird. I just love it, it’s so cool!

There are quite a number of sculptures around Boat Quay – of animals but also people from the history of Singapore.

  2. These photos are great Olga, I expect that there will be a little part of you that you leave behind in Singapore once you leave. 13 years is a long time….we have lived in Spain for 11 years and the time just passes in a flash, doesn’t it?
I love the sculptures, particularly the cats and the children undressing for a swim, they are great! I love anything like that, it just looks so interesting.
    Thanks for sharing!
Big hugs Sharon in Spain x

    1. Thank you, Sharon! Yes, I am sure I will miss Singapore very much! I don’t know where these 13 years have gone. We’ve been through a lot here, but now it all seems like something a long long time ago…

There are many more sculptures there. I have put the last visit to this place on my To Do list, so I will take pictures of those (with or without a doll – depending on the occasion), and I’ll share them. Those jumping boys are really amazing – they look as if they are really jumping into the river!
