Today is the first day of Chinese New Year. And although we are not in Singapore anymore, our nostalgia is so great that I decided to continue with the tradition and celebrate this feast.
My Claire (A Girl for All Time Lydia) has decided to dress up as a Manchurian lady. This is not my outfit, it is an outfit by Carpatina made for slim 18-inch doll like Carpatina. The dress is a fit too long for Claire but it doesn’t really matter.
So, this is a traditional Manchurian outfit made out of red brocade with embroidered blossoms, trimmed with black and silver brocades and has functioning red frogs closure. Oh, those traditional frog buttons – they are so frustrating to use!! I have a Chinese blouse myself and it uses the same fastening. It takes forever to fasten and unfasten them!!
Anyway, Gong Xi Fa Cai!! Happy Chinese new Year!
The outfit has matching red brocade slippers that fir AGAT girls perfectly.
Happy Chinese New Year to you and your family Olga!
Your Lydia looks lovely in this dress, it suits her perfectly.
My Lydia arrived this afternoon and I’m very pleased with her since having taken off her yellow outfit!
Thank you, Sharon! Congratulations on receiving your Lydia!! You should come to our FB AGAT Fanclub: https://www.facebook.com/groups/673873742649071/ !! I can’t wait to see your Lydia!!
С Новым годом! Лидии очень идёт этот наряд.
Марина, спасибо!
Oh wow Olga, this is so stunning! What a beautiful dress and it suits Lydia so well! Her face has that special secretive oriental expression. Since a few months I am doubtful if I will buy AGAT Clementine, Lydia or maybe Carpatina Rowena. But now seeing Lydia in this dress I shouldn’t doubt anymore!
Thank you, Marjo! Yes, I think Lydia is stunning in general (oh those deep blue eyes!!) and looks good in oriental settings. You might remember that I took her on a trip to Hong Kong a year ago (if not, you can find the photos through the menu here in the “Doll travels” section). She looked really good there!! You should definitely consider getting Lydia!! You won’t regret it! (Oh, and have you seen my Carpatina Rowena? She is gorgeous!)
