This dress was a custom order. The requirement was simple: a 1860s dress in a blue colour that would bring Amelia’s blue eyes out. When I saw this fabric I immediately knew that it was exactly what was needed!! The soutache trim is matching the flowers and was an unexpected choice but once I found it I instantly knew it was perfect.
So, a 1860s dress made from Thimbles and Acorns pattern. The bodice is lined. And the dress closes at the back with 4 black snaps.
Oh, and I also decided to make an interesting hairstyle for my Eileen – inspired by a wonderful hairdo by the A Girl for All Time creator Frances which I saw on her Amelia at the Toy Fair 2016 in London!
So beautiful! I love every detail!
Thank you so much, Line!
