Once upon a time I used to have my own doll business in Singapore – an online doll shop called Daisy dolls. I closed it down a year ago, on the last day on 2013, mainly because I wanted to create more than I wanted to sell the stuff made by others, though there were […]
My Violetta is finally ready to be shown to the world properly! I wanted to make her an outfit to highlight her beautiful violet eyes, but somehow it took me 1.5 years (!!) to finish it. Most of the time it was just lying in me sewing basket, of course, as other projects occupied my mind and […]
I have realised that I haven’t shown my beautiful Esmeralda for a very long time. I was hoping to make a green dress for her (to match her lovely eyes), but haven’t finished it yet. But here she is, wearing an outfit I made some time ago for another Ellowyne doll.
My friend Ariadne and I love Ellowyne dolls. And we have had two Ellowyne meet-ups when she brought her dolls to me and we photographed our dolls together. (Another meet-up is being planned!) The first meeting happened in September 2011. At that point three of the dolls were mine, the rest were Julia’s. The second […]
Today I’ve received a new beauty. She is a Wilde Weekend Exclusive Amber doll called Secret Garden Iris, 2012, LE200. Althought I decided I was not going to buy any more Ellowyne dolls (enough is enough!), I couldn’t resist this very unusual beauty with painted eyes and applied eyelashes. She is absolutely stunning in person. […]
My Madeleine has changed her dress to the one I knitted for my Ellowyne doll Olesya some time ago. I think this dress is perfect for her, so now I have to make another dress for Olesya!! And a few bonus photos of two Amber dolls – Madeleine and Rosamund – together.
Last week I received a new doll – Amber Disquietude, 2012, LE1000. Ever since I got by Amber Wigged Out did I want an Amber doll with blue eyes and brown rooted hair (yes, generally I prefer rooted hair in dolls). I was thinking of buying a basic Amber from the collection 2012 – with […]
I liked this doll the moment I saw a sneak-peek of her on Facebook. But, to be honest, I wasn’t impressed by her painted eyes. (Actually, I don’t really like painted eyes on any of Ellowyne / Tonner dolls from Collections 2011 and 2012, I think they are not as refined and carefully painted as before. Very […]
It didn’t take me a long time to create this outfit for my Rosamund. The top is again designed by Becky Colvin and the trousers are my own simple design which I use for all kinds of dolls. I knitted the top using 2 and 1.5 mm needles and cotton thread #10. The top closes […]
My beautiful Olesya recently received a new dress which I knitted for her. It is based on a pattern by Becky Colvin. I used Palette Fingering yarn and 2 mm (#0) knitting needles. And then it was time to celebrate Christmas!! Enjoy. And Happy Christmas!!
On the 24th of August 2011, my friend and I had our first doll meeting in the Singapore Botanic Garden. We had two dolls with us – my friend’s Save Me Ellowyne doll and my Gold Label Cami doll. Dolls had lots of fun being photographed in this beautiful place (and so did we!).
