Gotz doll Emily 2012

A few day ago I received Emily from Gotz collection 2012, one of the 5 new dolls with 9 joints. A very cute little girl. Generally, I am indifferent to this face (if you remember, simple Katie 2009 didn’t click with me and I gave her to my friend), but I LOVE this Emily! I think this new jointed body has improved the overall impression of her. She has become taller (50 cm instead of 42 cm), more refined and… more grown up.

The new joints are interesting… Her knees can bend at exactly 90 degrees, but she can sit quite naturally and unsupported. Her elbows hardly bend which at first made me think hard about the point of these joints. But then I discovered that at least they can be turned around, which means when Emily sits she can hold her arms in a natural position on her knees. She can stand unsupported without any difficulties. Compared to Kidz’n’Cats joints, Gotz joints are not as firm, but can be bend without applying too much force and they don’t produce any squeaking in the process.

I have taken dozens of Emily’s photographs in many dresses, so I will gradually show them all. On the whole, Emily is simply gorgeous and every dress and colour I tried on her suits her beautifully. She is a real gem from Gotz. Definitely worth getting!

  2. Леночка, спасибо! Эмили – просто чудо девочка! Видимо, она почувствовала, что ей у нас рады, от того и с удовольствием позировала!

  3. Hello!
    She is a lovely doll.
I resisted a strong temptation to acquire last year’s toddler Emily, but now, resistance is futile.
She looks beautiful in all your pictures.

  4. Hi Ann, thank you very much! Last year’s Emily had a similar face and no fringe, so I understand your temptation. But this Emily is a winner! I highly recommend her!
